Today I have Denis Tunca. Denis is a Purpose and Self Awareness Coach at www.denistunca.com.
Denis’s shares her story on how she met her husband and the birth of her daughter. Due to trauma during the birth of her daughter, Denis wanted to be with her daughter at all times.
After being an international trade manager and now having a baby, Denis wanted to work from home.
She asked herself questions and found that she had changed from the person she used to be. She began to find her life purpose by asking herself questions.
Once she figured out her purpose, she had clarity and wanted to share this system with other women. Denis wanted to show women their purpose, identity, and strength.
Using this, in combination with their experience and their passion, Denis helps guide women to what business they can start successfully.
Denis loves to empower women. She wants women to have the emotional and financial freedom that they desire.
Why do some mothers, in particular, have a hard time pursuing their dreams?
Most mothers have one or all these common reasons why they don’t pursue their dreams:
“I don’t have enough time”
Denis gives the truth. Warning. It may hurt. You actually do have time. Denis gives the example of watching your favorite tv show. That is 30 minutes to an hour that you can use towards working towards your goal.
Mom Guilt
All mothers have this. The feeling of mom guilt.
Mothers feel awful when they take time for themselves, go to work, or pursue their passion.
Once you see from a different perspective how time away from your child or children impacts you and the kids, the guilt starts to go away.
Also, time away from the kids tends to make you spend more quality time and share in more quality activities with the kids.

Low self-esteem
Not believing in what we do or our capabilities prevent us from pursuing our dreams. You need to see and believe that you can be whatever you want to become.
Afraid to ask to be paid or put prices too low.
This has to do with how much we give as mothers. We give so much that we have to change our mindsets when it comes to our business.
Denis’s best advice for getting started … take one step. Even if it is a little tiny step. Each step you take will slowly add up and eventually, you will see the progress you have made.
The most common myth about women wanting to start their business.
Firstly, everyone is afraid. From the newbie to the most experienced person in the business.

You don’t need years of experience or certifications to be a business owner.
Experience alone is enough to become a business owner as long as you are a couple of steps ahead of the one you are helping.
For the mom trying to do it all. Just don’t! You can’t be good at everything at the same time. Don’t lose time. You can get back everything except time. If you can, delegate, get help or hire someone who is better at the task than you to help you get more done.

Thank you! You are definitely not alone. I often wonder if men have dad guilt like we have mom guilt. LOL. Mom guilt can be really serious. I am hoping to have other moms share their experience and how they deal with it soon.

Loved this listen! I am just recently getting acquainted with the term ‘mom guilt’ so it’s been amazing but also sad to hear that we feel this way sometimes. But it also feels good to know I’m not alone.
